Our Story

Tom Preston wanted to start a band. He could sing and play a little guitar and had started a Sunday Jam group but was ready for more. Tom approached Ray Wallace, a long time friend and fellow jammer then told his wine friend, Jill Freuden about the idea. She asked “aren’t you going to ask me?” and the initial band was started as Midlife Crisis. After some time as a trio, the three singer/guitarists were ready to add bass and drums and needed a new name. Chris McIntosh and Matthew Shirey new Tom or Jill from other musical endeavors and we had a band. Conveniently, there are two PhDs in the band, but the name was more about the odd mix of three guitarists and three lead singers.

Our Music

An eclectic blend of old rock, country, pop, folk, and current songs. Mostly a cover band, we have a few originals and are working on more. You’ll hear tunes originally performed KT Tunstun, The Beatles, Jessica Hernandez, The Monkeys, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and more. We have a few banjo tunes and a couple uke tunes and a couple coronet tunes. The three singers share lead duties and we are known for our harmony. You won’t be bored. We love it when our audience shakes their booties, and can slow things down for a romantic slow-dance, too.
